Berthiaume Family | Golden Valley Family Photographer

December 22, 2012

New clients are so fun! The Berthiaume Family found me through a referral from another photographer and I couldn’t have been happier to meet them.  I met Gina for our pre-session consultation at her home and we instantly hit it off – we’re both very laid back, happy and fun.  I knew from then on that this was a start of a beautiful client/photographer relationship!

We enjoyed their at-home photo session on a crisp November afternoon. Their 2 dogs joined in the fun as well! We were hoping for some leaves, but with the incredibly fast fall we had in Minnesota, they had already fallen and were raked up.  We improvised and had a blast running around their huge backyard and climbing the stairs in their front yard.  How cute are these?

Enright Family Session | St. Louis Park Family Photographer

December 2, 2012

I am so lucky to do what I do! The Enright Family and my family have known each other for many years – I often hoped they would allow me the pleasure of capturing beautiful family portraits for them. My wish came true! Lynda, a fantastic nutritionist and wellness coach, and her husband John have three beautiful children.  The youngest is three and for three years I have been trying to get her to like me – she was just SO shy! I was very worried about her during the session, but was confident we could make something work with a little help from Dad. 🙂  Turns out she decided that morning that she likes me!  She really likes me! We had a fantastic session at Wolfe Park in St. Louis Park.  Here are some beautiful images from our recent session – ENJOY!

These kiddos LOVE their Dad.  As a matter of fact, I think all kids do! I know mine does. 🙂

And the little girl I was SO worried about gave me one of the sweetest photos I’ve ever taken. Sweet girl!

Meet Bennett | Lester Prairie Newborn Photographer

July 30, 2012

The moment Bennett entered the world, he was loved by one of the most amazing families I know. He joins his older two sisters, Sophie and Kaya, who shower him with kisses and love whenever they get the chance. Bennett’s mom and I used to work at Target together and she was an inspiration to me both personally and professionally. Enjoy these beautiful images from our in-home newborn session last month. 🙂

And my new favorite family session pose…. The Klitzkes, ladies and gentelmen.

The Andersen Family came to the new studio! | St. Louis Park Family Photographer

April 5, 2012

You know when you meet a family and you can literally see the love radiating from them? The Andersen Family – Brenda, Poul and their two sons – are that kind of family!

During the session with their family, their sons were so awesome. Here are some photos of them that bring a HUGE smile to my face.

Kara’s 1-Year Photos | Minneapolis Toddler Photographer

February 28, 2011

Remember when you were 10 years old and you met a friend at camp that you SWORE you’d keep in touch with forever? That’s exactly what Keith and I did in the mid-80s and we never looked back. When he told me he was expecting a baby with his beautiful bride, Jamie, I couldn’t have been happier. Keith and Jamie have this love that can be seen outside their bodies – it exudes from them and embraces those around them like a warm blanket. I love this family! I had the supreme pleasure of capturing Kara’s newborn photos last February and once again this February just before she turned ONE.

I couldn’t resist making the Kara Monster collage as a surprise gift for them. I hope you enjoy these photos from our session at the studio as well as at the Walker Art Center.

The Cross Kids | Hopkins Studio Photographer

January 4, 2011

In the summer of 2009, I had the supreme pleasure of  taking photos at Heather & Darcy’s wedding. The joining of their two families was a beautiful thing – the love was so apparent. Fast-forward to this winter when Heather asked me to take some in-studio photos of their beautiful kids. It was a cold day, but the kids braved the chill to take a few outdoor photos in their new hats and mittens.  Thank you, Heather, for allowing me the pleasure of spending time with your family! It was a marvelous day!

A Chilly Halloween Family Session | Wayzata Family Photographer

November 17, 2010

The frost was still on the ground when I met the wonderful Eldring and Laski families in Wayzata for a family photo session.  They were such troopers!  We would take breaks between the shoots to warm up with coats, hats and mittens.  As we were there, the frost melted and we were able to get some great photos of the entire family and even some of Mom and Dad Laski who hadn’t had a professional photo taken for many years.

After the outdoor session, we traveled to the studio for some fun individual shots of the kids.  It was great for me because they all brought their own personalities to the shoot. It makes my job easy when kids feel comfortable being themselves. We had so much fun!

Reliving The Good ‘Ole Days | Minneapolis Family Photographer

November 16, 2010

Reason #4329 why I love my job: being asked to take family photos of dear friends from long ago (high school and college).  When Alison sent me a Facebook message that she was interested in setting up a photo session with her family, I was over-the-moon excited.  Not only have I known both her and her husband, Luke, for nearly 20 years, but also their kids are ADORABLE!

The rain scared us away on our originally scheduled photo session date, but the next day we chose was absolutely perfect. We ventured to Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis for the photos.  We got yelled at once for going “off the path”, but I reassured them that I’m really good at begging for forgiveness vs. asking for permission. 😉

Here are some of my favorite images from the session. I hope you love them!

3 Months of Cuteness | Plymouth Children’s Photographer

October 11, 2010

I met Nandan at Methodist after his parents welcomed him into the world.  He was such a sweet baby to photograph and barely fussed at all.  Fast forward three months… I see him again, but this time for his 3-month photos. As soon as he came downstairs with his Mom, my face lit up and I started spewing nonsense words such as “obbabahahba” and “schmutzywutzy” and “goobajooba”.  It was a true pleasure to see Nandan and his family again – they are very special people with some of the warmest hearts I’ve seen in a long time.  Here are some photos from our at-home session.  Enjoy and watch for his 6-month photos coming in January!

The hat Nandan is wearing in the following photo is from Baby Hattitude.  Isn’t it darling?

The Adorable Nadia + Family | Hopkins Newborn Photographer

September 28, 2010

I met Nadia’s mom when I worked at Target and always thought she was one of the coolest people.  That was until I worked with her!  Then I knew for sure she was one of the most wonderful people I would ever know.  Her vivaciousness and zest for life is so apparent to everyone who knows her.  Her family has grown quite a bit since I first met her (x2!) and I have loved watching her blossom into an amazing mother.  Her daughter, Nadia, was born in September and I simply couldn’t wait to take her newborn photos.  We gathered at the studio for the session and captured these (and many other) adorable photos.  Thank you, Deb and Owen, for asking me to capture photos of your beautiful family.

The hat Nadia is wearing is from Baby Hattitude.  Jessica, the owner and a dear friend of mine, does great work.  Go check it out!
